What is included?
- 1 drink: a good glass of wine, homemade lemonade or coffee provided by coffee bar Touche. Additional drinks and cakes can be ordered.
- An enthusiastic explanation of all the techniques and possibilities. (Don't worry! Anyone can make something beautiful, even without much painting talent)
- A package of white pottery. Our "biscuit" pottery is made by a family business in Italy. See the options above and in the pictures.
- All supplies: Glazes in all possible colors, glaze pencils and other useful tools.
- Kiln baking service. After glaze painting and finishing with an extra transparent layer of glaze, the pieces go into the kiln where they are baked off at 1000 degrees. After maximum 2 weeks you can pick up your glazed creations during the opening hours of the Lounico shop.
Where does this pottery painting workshop take place?
Our Lounico shop & studio shares the building with coffee bar Touche. That's where our workshops take place. During the afternoon sessions we take maximum 3 tables (6 people) while the coffee bar is open. During the evening sessions we have full capacity of maximum 14 people.
We also offer our workshops "on-the-go" for private events, team-buildings, bachelor parties, birthday parties or other events. Contact louis@lounico.be for more info and bookings.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. You can only attend a ceramics painting session if you have booked a spot on our webshop.
Do you need experience or creative talent?
Absolutely not! Anyone can make beautiful creations, also without any talent. The possibilities are endles and the host is there to guide and help you.
When can I take my creations home?
You cannot take your creations home on the same day, because they still need to be fired in the kiln. The fired glazed pieces will be ready maximum 2 weeks after the workshop date. Please don't wait too long to pick-up your pottery because we have limited space. Also good to know: we don't ship!
What is the minimum age? Can kids join?
Kids can certainly join! The minimum age is 6 years. Our pottery painting workshops are a perfect day out with your child, godchild, grandchild, etc.
Can I give a workshop as a gift?
Yes! You can immediately book the workshop or you can buy a Lounico gift card. The gift card can be used in the physical Lounico shop and on the Lounico webshop, so also to book a workshop.
Can I host a private event or party at the workshop?
Yes! Private events in the evening can be organized here at coffee bar Touche. Private events during the day can only be held on other private locations. Please send an email to louis@lounico.be for more info.
